Where to Find Me

It's easiest to visit my Pownce profile and click all the links, but here's a short list.
The Rarely checked:
  • Last.fm - http://www.last.fm/user/danielandlions/ - Social Music thingy. Reads what you listen to in iTunes, your iPod or whatever, looks at what your friends listen to, and recommends music.
  • LinkedIn - http://www.linkedin.com/in/deggert - A social network for working professionals. Great way to connect with other taxpayers for business development and networking.
  • and Orkut (google's social network), and Jaiku, and Hulu (TV shows on the net), and Digg (social bookmarking), and more!
The never-checked:
  • MySpace - I don't check Myspace, like ever. I'm there somewhere.
Yeah, if it's web 2.0 I probably have a mostly empty profile just to check it out. :D

When pioneers would leave the Seaboard for Texas, they would leave a shingle on their door that read

G.T.T.
(Gone to Texas)

Somewhat sadly, I'm Gone From Texas in a few days, and with the move to Chicago, I'm moving blogging services as well. The e-mail and cell phone and Facebook are all going to stay the same, so no excuses for not keeping touch somehow.

danieleggert.com will now direct you to http://danielandthelions.wordpress.com. Please stop by.
I promise I'll write more often. I even plan to share photography posts more often.

Sola Deo Gloria,
Daniel

Songs for Christmas

There's no better way to say Merry Christmas...

than saying "Christ be with you today." I'm finding that it gets the point across so directly, yet its shocking as leather spats. Don't believe me?

Look at these:

HOLLYWOOD - JUNE 01: Actor Malin Akerman attends the premiere of HBO's "Entourage" at the Cinerama Dome on June 1, 2006 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Stephen Shugerman/Getty Images)

Then go try it. You'll believe me.

"Shocking as leather spats" has officially entered my lexicon forever and I don't even know ifI should thank Malin Akerman or Contact my Congressman to have the manufacture of pleather (and/or) spats illegal within 160 feet of my person.

In the interest of Full Disclosure, another addition was made to Ye Olde Lexicon yesterday evening. "Smells like burning tube socks" is now synonymous for "cheap." I'll see if I can't get the "Christmas Tube Socks" story (by Sufjan Stevens) up here. That phrase will make sense, plus the essay is just very well done.

Also, I know its shocking as leather spats, but I might start blogging more with my move to Chicagoland. Seems like the Change (or the solitude) might inspire me to write again. The temptation, of course, is to flee Xanga like all the other grownups, but I don't know if anyone would read if I move to Blogger or typepad. I know I didn't make it over to Creeps Like Me after Kyle left the "Capitol X." It was only today I learned that he's stopped blogging entirely. Hmmm...

Christ be with you and yours today,
Daniel

Put on some make-up. Do your hair.
